What is UDDI?
The Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) protocol is a a platform-independent framework for managing Web services relationships and interactions. A UDDI registry classifies, catalogs, and manages Web services, so that they can be discovered and consumed by other applications.
What is the current status of UDDI?
UDDI currently stands at version 3.0.2, ratified in February 2005. This version provides key capabilities for enterprise-level deployment and is a mature, well-supported standard. Its feature definitions are stable and backwards-compatible with earlier versions of the standard.
